Blogging about Blogging!

Hi everybody! Interesting; today’s topic is to write about the blog, write about writting.

First of all, about Blogging, I do enjoy it, I do it a lot; it’s my first blog and despite that the topics were given it was very fun. It was the first time that I freely  express myself on “forced topics”, to wrote about this topics was very interesting,  because it guided me to write about things that I like; photos, music, technology, some free topics, etc. in conclusion, forced but enjoyable topics.

However, answering about what I learnt with this blog… through the semester, while writing in English, while doing the different updates to my blog, I Realized that my English is not so good (I thought it was better) particularly when speaking in past (like now), I find it difficult, but towards writing I clearly saw my deficiencies, and I guess it’s a big step to improve my English.

All the things I said answers a part of the last question in the blog of the teacher, the pros; in short and concluding, I improve my English and having fun, the cons, I see only one; not being able to continue writing on the blog, because the classes are almost over. But, I think that in fact it’s an option to continue updating my blog with my own topics but is not the same without the teacher’s guidelines.

Thanks for reading! , good luck everyone, and especially thanks to you (the most probably reader of this letters), Teacher Belen.

Lithium privatization

Today I will write about a contingently topic, the privatization of the lithium on Chile, Chile has one of the largest reserves of lithium in the world, and today, we have a big social confrontation because this reserves are being concessioned to international companies.

The “small print” says that the different taxation left to Chile the 66% of the earnings, and it’s important to say that the risk in this investment (lithium exploitation) is very high for two reasons:

First, the use of lithium is in the technological industry (made of batteries), and technology advance, is replaceable, could happen that a Asian man invent a better way to made batteries and the inversion is lost.

Second, lithium reserves exist in the sea, could happen to someone find a way to remove it from the sea, and the inversion is lost to.

Third, in Chile doesn’t exist the capacity to extract the mineral itself, we don’t have man power or processing industry to exploit this mineral.

For this reasons, I think that the privatization is not soooo bad, but logically would be better process the mineral by ourselves, but for this we need to strengthen the industry and universities, I think that’s the north that Chile must to walk.

That’s it, thanks for reading! =D

RTS use as a tool in careers that involve teamwork and resource management

Well, that’s is a topic that i learn time before, and i think it is really interesting because is a relation between my hobby (video games) and my university studies, the teamwork and the resources management are skills that the public administrators must domain to do they work, and the RTS games help to develop those skills, but ¿what is a RTS game?, basically, is a genre of video games that consist in strategy, RTS means "Real Time Strategy" and in this games the players must manage resources to complete objectives, many of this games are in teams (team vs team), and the coordination of a team is fundamental to win the game. Many of RTS games are about war, the players administrate cities, bases, buildings, miner camps, etc to do troops and defenses to destroy the enemy team, playing they develop the teamwork and resources management. In many universities around the world the teachers do RTS courses to their students, and inclusive, are obligatory branches on some universities of USA.

I leave you photos of RTS games and people playing them!

thanks you for reading =D!

My favourite piece of technology

Hello All again! =D

Today, i must write about my favourite piece of technology, almost for me, i'ts a difficult choice because i love the technological thinks, im very nerd, so, im going to talk about one of my favorites, my router (this little machine that share internet with wifi)

I'ts funny, my router is not the most technologically advanced object that I have, in fact, is one of the most basic and many of us have routers in our homes, so ¿why is one of my favorites?, because i know how can use it well and I take great benefit of this knowledge, most of the people use they routers to share internet for their computers, cellphones, macs, ipads, etc trough cables or wifi and that's all, but me... I use to many other things, i know how to do my own home multimedia and filesharing lan using a router and with it, i'll transfer files between different computers both my family and my friends and i make lan parties, a lan party is a party of games, my friends come to my house with their computers, they join to the lan and we play day and night without a break, and logically, the connection between our computers is through my router.

There is a photo of my router in action during a lan party at my house, the little grey and cyan machine, is the router.

Well, that's all about my router, thanks for reading =p

My "mechoneo's" photo

Well, I Really love this photograph, it was taken the day of my "mechoneo" (April, 2010) ; the "mechoneo" is a tradition of many universitys of Chile, that was organized the first week of class and it consist of the older students broke the clothes, throw disgusting trush and make denigrant games to the newer students, i'ts sounds bad but at least in my case, I enjoy it, i'ts very funny.

Probably, this photo was taken by a "mechoneador" (student who "mechonea"(do the mechoneo)), im the first of the quehue, and in this moment, the older student was putting me a onion on my hair, one of the reazons because i like this photo i'ts the smile on all of us, including me, it show that the "mechoneo" is not sooo terrible as everyone sees it, as i mentioned before, I really enjoy the mechoneo, was very funny to me, a good moment in my life and this day i meet so many classmates.

Another interesting thing in this photo is the place, we are just outside of the "Universidad de los Lagos", this building was rented by Universidad de Chile for our career one year, because the 27F earthquake breaks down our previus and original building and it was a emergency exit. We are outside for this reason, the owner of the building was another university so, the "mechoneadores" couldn't leave all dirty and stinky, so, the mechoneo was outside the building, where everyone could see us.

A difficult singer choice, a strange choice =p

Wow, today's topic is difficult to me, i must write about in part of my musical likes! (a singer or a group, but i don't have a favorite one), well, first at all, i love all the music, sounds strange but it's true, well, there is an exception, i hate the music with lyrics that contains degrading topics (like reaggeton), is a matter of principes, not a musical reazon, and for this reason i like some (very few) reaggetons... well, when i say "i love all the music" (without the exception) it's true, i like the Chilean music, i like the classical music, i love tecno, rock, metal, of many countries, in general, when a musical job it's good, i like the song, for this reason, i like inclusive strange music, like Japanese and Korean pop, rock, tecno, etc. An example of Japanese "strange" music that i hear and love is the Singer Kyari Pamyu, if you search she's music probably you think i'm crazy, another example of this "strange music" it's Hatsune Miku:

She is the first digital idol, she is a japanese program that sings and is very popular in Japan and another countries, inclusive, she made concerts!, appears as a hologram in the stage!. Logicaly, she is a program, many people made music with she's voice, for this reason she sing many music styles. I like this singer because  is a universal expression, many people made she's music, everyone can made music with she's voice and everyone can made videos with she's appearance, and this was create a digital person, i love this "event".
My favorite song of Hatsune Miku it's "Tell your world", because the lyric metaphorically speaks about she. speaks with metaphorically words how she crossed all established borders for a singer.
Here is the Song:

well, i mentioned before, i hear normal things to, probably, if you send me a genre of music i gonna tell you a song of this genre that i love. Try it =p

Regards!
